I think this is a good idea too! question : I have been categorized as a "Heavy Modder" for quite some times. Today I got a news feed saying Im a Modlet.
How and why did this happen? A reply here or in my PM box would be much appreciated.

are you sure your filter is "ON"
there is a user with quite a few posts who hasn't pulled the mature content leader image yet if it was on, you would see ALL images as mature content, not just some |

 haha, you were right. When I first joined I did notice that a lot more female pics were censored.. but yeah I overlooked that now obvious detail and didn't notice the change in the other users pics.Lesson learnt  Edited by charliex - September/24/2008 at 1:03pm |

It's most likely because the filter is currently only filtering the specific genital and female nipple mods. If a user posts a mod as Hardcore something or another, then it won't fall under those categories and it won't be flagged.
I just made a switch for users and modderators to use to toggle mods as mature or not. So now we'll be going through and switching them on if necessary. I've also added a checkbox to the Add a Mod page so users can pre-select it as mature content when they're adding the mod. This will all be cleared up eventually =) .: Adam |

Hi Adam
I have to say that you have really shown foresight and wisdom in applying a filter that members can use from CHOICE to block out genital images.
I know a lot of people including myself have been uncomfortable with the zeal that some members have in carrying out a kind of a witch hunt to try to get other people banned because they display a genital image on their profile.
Let me say that I am NOT in favour of this kind of image myself being used as a profile pic, BUT I believe passionately in a person's freedom to be able to do so if they so wish. I also understand that some members are offended by these images so I also can see their pint of view.
However, we in this community are not 'normal' in the true sense of the word and to modify our bodies in any way is an anathema to many in mainstream society (my own wife being one). Genital piercings, and I have several, might be seen as 'kinky' by some but for many members they are a source of pride to them and they wish to display them. Admittedly a profile photo might seem a little extreme but some people are more extreme than others including those members that 'hunt' other members profile photos for 'indecency'. Shame on them, that's why we have moderators, to bar indecent images and to regulate the site.
Freedom and human rights are terms that are bandied about by politicians of all persuasions, but how many of them would admit to being tattooed or pierced? Censorship is a dangerous road to go down and leads to restrictions on people's freedom of expression.
So, Adam I believe that your decision is a very wise one - and I for one thank you.
