If you have ever posted in one of our forums on this site, you may have noticed that you have a rank on this site. Under your name, in the left column of your post, is your rank and your rank blocks. Members from this site have one of 5 ranks, as depicted by the shaded blocks. Your total mod count is displayed under your avatar.

The rank system is intended to be representative of and speak to the level of experience you have in conjunction with your contribution to the site. Now we realize this is not a perfect system, but we believe that the rough indication that the system gives, is a decent one. Basically it boils down to this.... The more times you have been modded, the more personal, first hand experience you have with the topics at hand. It's a way for our members to get a general feel for the weight of the persons' comments, and as a fun way to get excited about posting new mods. Your ranks also determines to some extent, which forum categories that you can participate in, as well as opening up other features of the site, such as our Kill Vote System. If you submit more, you get to do more....

It is a simple system truly. Each mod you post, increases your mod count by one. If this isn't done correctly, and in accordance with Site Guidelines, your post will be removed, and you will loose any credit for the post, and your rank adjusted accordingly. There are 5 rank blocks but we will be dealing mainly with the first four. The fifth or highest rank is reserved for the site Administrator, and owner, Adam. The other area that matters is your forum post count. This shows your level of commitment to the community. This is the way the rest are assigned:

1 Block : Mod-Lets : 1 - 9 mod posts and 0 - 99 forum posts

2 Blocks: Heavy modders : 10 - 29 mod posts and 100 - 499 forum posts

3 Blocks: Mod-Gods : 30 - 49 mod posts and 500 - 999 forum posts

4 Blocks: Mod-Zentity : 50+ mod posts and 1000+ forum posts

4 Blocks is also given to two other site ranks. The first is the site Mod-erators. There are only 3 of these, and they are assigned by the site Admin. The second goes to BMod Pros. This rank is given with 10 or more portfolio posts or to those that can prove they are working professionally in the body modification industry. This is done in an automated fashion by posting 5 or more portfolio pieces.

This system has certain limitations. The main one is that for ranking purposes, a mod is a mod. You do not get credit for a bigger tattoo, just as a genital split counts no more than a lobe stretch. I did say this wasn't a perfect system. So get out your cameras, open up your broadband, and give us those pics! Above all....have fun with it.
