I have had a few details nagging me for the past couple years, and I finally sat down to address them.  The main one is the way groups are assigned, and the powers the they receive. The other is the limiting of the posting of mods to the site.

So, I had a few shots of and came up with the solution that I'm going to move forward with. I'm going to assign group level with a combination of forum posts and mod posts. In addition, I am officially removing the rule of 1 post per mod. As long as the photo isn't a duplicate, you can post as many angles, healing stages, jewelry shots, etc of the same mod from now on!

This has been bothering me a lot, because I really wanted to let people post whatever they want. I mean, the motto of the site is "By you, for you", so you should be able to do what you want!

So here is how I now place members into groups (automatically):

Mod-lets: 1 - 9 mod postings and 1 - 49 forum posts

Heavy modders: 10 - 29 mod posts and 50 - 499 posts

Mod-Gods: 30 - 49 mod posts and 500 - 999 forum posts

Mod-Zentity: 50+ mod posts and 1000+ forum posts

I understand that this is going to drop people in group levels. I just hope you understand the reasoning. This is to make a larger, stronger body modification community. The upside to all of this is greater freedom to use this site as you want. I think it's more than a fair trade. If you're really into the body modification community, then this should have only positive effects.

Also, I want to mention, that I plan on moving the kill vote system to Supporters only very soon. I'm seeing a lot of people that are "Heavy Modder" and killing mods because "they don't like them". This is totally unfair, and not representative of what we all stand for.

I hope you like the improvements to the site, and help me promote what I feel is the most advance and strongest body modification community.

Thank you,

.: Adam

So instead of having just one picture of my 6g right nipple piercing, I  can post 10 different angles as 10 different pictures instead of just one?

I like it!

i love the idea about changing the status of members (however my mini-feed says i'm a mod-let.. strange) and how forum posts link in with that.

1 question, though.. regarding dropping the rule of 1 post per mod, does this mean that photos still have to be of the piercing clearly?
only.. BME allows you to send in as many pictures as you want, and so many of those are people just posing and taking picture upon picture of themselves in a slightly different pose, with 1 piercing slightly visable, and saying *septum*.

and i find that the kill vote system is quite difficult when it comes to pictures of mods that aren't really clear because people go *oh, well, yeah, i suppose it is visable.. so it's allowed*.

i dunno... i mean, i like the idea of it and stuff.. but i think it'll get abused to hell. i love how this site focuses on the actual mods, rather than the photos, and people tend to put up good quality ones because they only have 1 chance to show how good it is.

that and we'll have the flood of cock pics again...

i guess.. i just see BME and i see the following: and i don't want here to become like that.

There's going to be down sides to each way. I've run it one way for ever, so now I'm going to try another. Should all hell break loose, or I just think that's it's worse off, I'll simply put it back =)

jeeeeennnnnniiiiiiii has a very good point about it not wanting to turn out like BMEzine, But i dont really see that happening hun, See BMEzine gives youa subscription membership for submitting photos, so they get the notion the more random pictures of there piercings and different poses they send, the longer a membership they will recieve, hear, i have faith that with the kill this mod option, that we can police ourselves and keep things clear, I rarely use that button because I am so new to this site, I dont want to 'accidently' abuse it because I'd find a mod unacceptable, i've used it a few times, but mainly against ones that seem to be sexually directed, Like a girl biting/licking a P.A. or some other one, I dont find that to be about the mod

i do agree with you Adam, though what jenni pointed out is something that scarry me too. I think that the 'additional images' thing is a really good thing to show the mod in a different views / ways and i don't see really the point in posting 4 images of the same nostril piercing. In the images jenni posted though there are also other mods (though they are like 10 images :0) but what about a new user that posts 10 pics of his only mod and do not use additional images?

I do agree when it comes to post a pic of the same mod but years later / with something different, but not when someone post the same pics over and over with only a different pose.that's my point.
